The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee seeks to promote and advance the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within RTAM.
Some of its objectives include identifying systemic barriers that hinder equitable participation and representation of diverse retired teachers within the association.
Another current area of focus is collaborating with other committees and stakeholders to integrate EDI principles into the association’s policies, programs and practices to make them part of RTAM’s culture.
